real moments, your vows, your people, your terrible dance moves. all of it captured on digital & film so you can relive it forever.
I've photographed weddings on mountains, beaches, glaciers, in backyards, at remote lodges, and in venues across Alaska. I know the seasons, the light, and how to work with whatever conditions show up. I'm a local Alaska wedding photographer who grew up in the Mat-Su Valley and knows this landscape intimately.
My documentary approach means I'm watching for the real stuff. The tear during your vows. Your dad losing it during the speech. The moments right in the dance floor when everyone forgets there's a camera in the room. All of it is captured with deep rooted intention and artistry.
More About Connor
Your people, your place, your pace. The focus should be on connection, not perfection. You walk away feeling full, not frazzled.
I blend photo-journalistic wedding photography with editorial flair. Most of the day, I'm watching for candid moments that you can relive over and over again. When it's time for portraits, I give gentle direction to let you interact naturally.
I shoot 35mm and 120 medium format film at every wedding alongside digital. The film images add character and intentionality. They feel like little time capsules from the best day of your life.

what it's like to work with me
I show up calm and ready. I coordinate with your planner, DJ, and venue so everything flows smoothly. During the ceremony and reception, I'm a documentary wedding photographer in Alaska mode. Watching for weather, waiting for that hug, capturing the real stuff in places that sometimes don’t even seem real.
No pressure, no pitch. Just a call or coffee to hear about your vision, your people, and what matters most to you about your wedding day. (We will have as many planning meetups as you need after your booking is official)
If your package includes an engagement session, we pick a location that means something to you. It's a chance for you to get comfortable in front of my camera before the big day. You learn how I work. I learn how you interact. By the time your wedding arrives, we already feel like old friends.

my top tips for
Not against it. Build flexible timelines with indoor backup options. A rain plan isn't pessimism. It's good sense. Some of the most beautiful wedding photos I've taken happened in weather no one predicted.
You chose Alaska for a reason. Let the mountains, glaciers, and wild spaces be a part of your day. I'll share my input and be sure to find a spot that complements you and the location the best.
A local photographer, planner, and florist who understand the terrain and seasons will make your day infinitely smoother. We know what works here and what doesn't.
Alaska venues can be spread out. Travel between locations takes longer than GPS estimates. Building in extra time means you stay relaxed instead of rushed.
The best season to get married in Alaska depends on what you want. Summer gives you midnight sun and wildflowers. Fall brings colors that don't look real. Winter weddings are intimate, cozy, and otherworldly. There's no wrong answer, just your answer.
Alaska has some incredible outdoor wedding venues. I love the Inn at Tern Lake’s top tier landscape & mountain views, Forget-Me-Not Nursery along Turnagain Arm is also stunning, There is also Sheep Mountain Lodge in Glacier View for the perfect intimate wedding celebration north of Palmer. There are also countless private venues and remote locations that make for unforgettable ceremonies. I've written more about my favorite Alaska wedding venues on my blog/resources. Happy to share my personalized recommendations based on your vision when we chat.
What are the best Alaska venues for outdoor weddings?
I carry redundant gear to every wedding. Multiple camera bodies, lenses, memory cards, and film stocks, extra lighting. Everything is stored in weatherproof cases designed for harsh conditions. If a piece of equipment fails, I swap to a backup instantly. You won't even notice it happened. That preparedness comes from my past seasons experience & years in emergency response. I plan for contingencies so you don't have to think about them.
What is your backup plan if something happens to your equipment?
I take on a limited number of weddings each season. This isn't a volume thing for me. I want to give every couple my full attention, energy, and creativity. Not overbooking my calendar means I can pour myself into your day and deliver a gallery that exceeds your expectations.
How many weddings do you photograph per year?
Yes. An engagement session in Alaska is a fantastic way for us to get to know each other before your wedding day. It gives you a chance to experience how I work and get comfortable in front of the camera. Full day wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session. Half day packages can add one on. We'll pick a location that feels like YOU and I’ll document those precious memories you will cherish forever.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Absolutely. I'm an Alaska destination wedding photographer and I travel statewide. From Anchorage to Juneau, Cordova to Kodiak, everywhere around & in-between. If your wedding is within my core home zone around Palmer, travel is included. For locations beyond, I add a remote location fee that covers my transportation and a place to rest my head.
